A Message From Maggie We are born for a reason. There is already enough for everyone in this world if we all remember that the world is a home for all of us. Let us treat it well through conservation, teamwork and equality. Dare Women's Foundation is for women, men, boys and girls who believe that women can be leaders and create change. In the coming years we hope to continue to empower more women to earn incomes so they can use their voices and become powerful leaders. Thank you for being part of this journey! Future Plans In the coming month Dare plans to carry out a variety of projects. Dare will continue to provide conservation training to the community and local schools in order to improve the relationship between people and their environment. Dare also plans to offer more business and entrepreneurship education to one of the women's groups in Arusha. These women will learn how to run businesses and keep records. After their training they will be able to invite other women's groups from around the country in order to teach them as well. Finally Dare plans to provide 30 more reusable sanitary pads to women in Tanzania. Thank you for your interest and involvement in our work! | Recent Happenings Devota Temu is a powerful woman and agent of change. Devota's resilient personality has helped her face challenges and continue to work towards her goals. She grew up in a home with people who wanted her to work selling her body. She refused to give into their requests and instead found Maggie, who helped her empower herself. With the help of Dare and Maggie, Devota was able to attend coaching school and is now successfully coaching the Dare girl's rugby team. Devota always dreamed of becoming a female guide in Tanzania and has continued to work hard to achieve this dream. The driver tour guiding work in Tanzania is male dominated. She currently attends tourism school and leads hikes up Mount Kilimanjaro. Devota is an amazing example of how Dare has helped powerful women with big dreams become all that they can be while empowering those around them. |
